David Silbaugh
David Silbaugh is Booking Manager, as well as a Production Supervisor, for Summerfest, "The World's Largest Music Festival", in Milwaukee, WI. The 9 day festival encompasses three, 3 day weekends, and books over 600 artists in nearly all genres, featuring international headlining artists as well as up-and-coming artists. He also produced the noted Emerging Artists Series for the festival for 15 years. Silbaugh has served as an A&R Consultant for GMR Marketing as well, having previously spent 4 years in that role for Banshee Music under the GMR Marketing umbrella. Banshee Music was a “sonic branding” agency, creating custom music for sports teams, sporting events, and brands. He also served as an Entertainment Relations Consultant for Gibson Guitars for 8 years. In addition, Silbaugh curated a SXSW branded music library through GMR for APM Music, a joint venture between Sony Music Publishing and Universal Music Publishing. With a diverse background in music and the music business in general, including performing, touring, recording, artist managing, and indie label A&R work, David is a former Board Member, Secretary, and Vice President of the Chicago Chapter of The Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Sing Me A Story, and the Advisory Board for FestForums.
