Navarro W. Gray, Esq.

Music and entertainment attorney Navarro Gray is a graduate of Hofstra University Law School in Long Island, N.Y. where he received his J.D. with a concentration in intellectual property. At Hofstra, he was president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the recipient of the Public Justice Foundation Award. Gray was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2008 and began his legal career in the Bergen County Superior Court.

Music and entertainment attorney Navarro Gray is a graduate of Hofstra University Law School in Long Island, N.Y. where he received his J.D. with a concentration in intellectual property. At Hofstra, he was president of the Sports and Entertainment Law Society and the recipient of the Public Justice Foundation Award. Gray was admitted to the New Jersey State Bar in 2008 and began his legal career in the Bergen County Superior Court. In 2013, he was appointed as the first African American public defender for the City of Hackensack, soon becoming the first African American public defender for Bergen County. In 2014, he founded The Gray Law Firm, LLC, in Hackensack. He represented hip-hop artist Fetty Wap in obtaining his first major record contract with 300 Entertainment, a deal that jump-started Gray’s entertainment law career. Since then, Gray has represented hundreds of clients and has been instrumental in closing recording and publishing contracts, movie deals and producer agreements. In 2017, he appeared as a music manager in the popular VH1 reality franchise, “Love and Hip Hop: New York.”  Gray is the owner of the Gray Note Studio recording facility in Hackensack adjacent to the Gray law offices.
