Paul Sanchez

Paul Sanchez spent the 90’s and early aughts touring the U.S.A. and Europe with New Orleans rockers Cowboy Mouth.

After losing his home and possessions to Hurricane Katrina and the flood, Paul left the band he had formed in 1992 and went home to New Orleans to rebuild his life.

Sanchez was Off Beat Songwriter of the year in 2009, 2014, 2017, 2018.

Paul has also written a musical about New Orleans based on the New York Times Best Seller Nine Lives.

He appeared as himself in the HBO series TREME, as Detective Dillard in NCIS New Orleans, in the AMC television productions of Bonnie and Clyde and Interview With A Vampire.

Sanchez has written songs performed by:

Darius Rucker, Hootie and The Blowfish, The Eli Young Band, Kevin Griffin from Better Than Ezra, Susan Cowsill, John Boutte and Irma Thomas, the Soul Queen of New Orleans.
